Overview

Position Summary:

Industrial Electrician will be responsible for using electrical and mechanical skills to repair and complete preventative maintenance on various types of facility, warehouse, and manufacturing equipment to improve safety, quality, and productivity as measured by this company.

Key Activities:

  • Motor testing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Conduit piping installation and repair.
  • Control valve calibration, testing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Plant instrumentation calibration, testing, maintenance, and repair.
  • Variable speed drive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Control system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Steam electrical control system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Compressed air control system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Well, Process, and Soft Water control system troubleshooting, maintenance, repair.
  • Refrigeration control system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Chemical control system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
  • Safely use of electrical test equipment for troubleshooting and monitoring of plant electrical systems.
  • Proper use of electrical personal protective equipment, such as gloves, grounding straps, etc.
  • Must possess and maintain a current State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Must be able and willing to attend continuous training and improvement courses as assigned or provided.

Required Qualifications:

  • MUST be a minimum of Journeyman Electrician
  • PREFERRED a Master Electrician
  • Industrial/Manufacturing experience a must – not just a residential electrician
  • Steam, Pneumatic, Refrigeration experience heavily preferred
