Job Description

Position Summary:


Warehouse Manager will be responsible for directing and coordinating warehouse operations, including loading operations and material handling activities (processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment).


Key Activities:


  • Coordinates manpower and equipment with the demands of material handling and warehousing operations.
  • Manages work schedules (vacation, holidays) and payroll for hourly employees.
  • Manages and delegates assignments to optimize labor effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Maintains a basic knowledge of quality systems and programs.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all shipping and receiving processes.
  • Review and resolve operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays.
  • Negotiate trucking contracts with relevant parties to ensure freight costs are competitive.
  • Will oversee Warehousing, Inbound & outbound freight activities, Distribution, and execution of order fulfillment processes
  • Research and advise of cost savings on transportation of LTL trucks and routes of our own trucks
  • Responsible for the security of the product and warehouse.
  • Handle all damaged product orders and monitor status of returned products.
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission into all related systems
  • Complies with all safety & environmental practices, and reports all incidents immediately.
  • Complies with all FDA/USDA rules, procedures, and work practices.


Required Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management, Logistics/Transportation, or related field, preferred (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience).
  • 7+ years relevant work experience in warehouse logistics management.
  • Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop a team environment promoting internal growth.
  • Plan and execute logistics needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing overall freight costs.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Minimum of at least 3 years experience in a supervisory role.
  • Exposure to GMP’s and familiarity with automated palletizing equipment, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
