Job Description

Position Summary:

 

Quality Food Safety Manager will be responsible for managing the company’s third-party audits, implementing the HACCP plan, ensuring all employees are trained in and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, conducting internal audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

 

Key Activities:

 

  • Lead all aspects of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.
  • Primary duties include managing the company’s third-party audits, implementing the HACCP plan, ensuring all employees are trained in and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, conducting internal audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Managing outside contractors and investigating and resolving customer complaints will be a major part of this new role.

 

Required Qualification:

 

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • HACCP &ASQ Certified.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience that includes managing a team of food safety, QA professionals in a food/personal care/nutritional supplement/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Must be Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish.
  • FSMA Certified or experience with FSMA; able to test finished foods and record results to meet FSMA requirements.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database programs.
  • Knowledge of ESHA Genesis a plus.
