Job Description

Position Summary:


Quality Assurance Manager/SQF Practitioner will be responsible for the development of compliance procedures for all food safety/quality requirements and reports to the Chief Legal Officer.                      


Key Activities:


  • Responsible for maintaining and overseeing the adequacy of the Food Safety Management System.
  • Implements all quality procedures cross functionally with CLO, Manufacturing Manager and Plant Manager.
  • Evaluates and validates the adequacy of all quality procedures and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Oversees QA staff and training.
  • Responsible for the implementation and verification of SQF Level II Practitioner or obtain such qualification within an agreed upon time.
  • Audits facility on regular basis and verifies all SQF-related Internal Audits.
  • Responsible for assuring company has current, effective third-party facility audits.
  • Maintains an adequate presence on the production floor.


Required Qualification:


  • 5+ years' experience in food manufacturing as a quality professional.
  • Must be SQF Practitioner and HACCP Certified.
  • Experience oversees QA staff and training and working cross functionally with other departments.
  • Lead company, 3rd party and SQF audits.
