Job Description

Position Summary:


Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for organizing the work of the hourly maintenance team.


Key Activities:


  • Integrate, train, appraise, redefine responsibilities, praise, ensure development and gauge training needs.
  • Conduct interviews as necessary.
  • Delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control, listen.
  • Provide reports to management.
  • Record maintenance data.
  • Monitors Work orders, PM’s, and expenses for the maintenance budget.
  • Propose technical and organizational improvements to management.
  • Apply the safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed.
  • Participate in analyzing occupational hazards.
  • Prevent potential risks.
  • Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment.
  • Follow quality programs  to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually met.
  • Alert manager when there is deviation from  quality policies and standards.
  • Follow food safety programs throughout the plant.
  • Responsible to complete form # MAINT RF 001 when working in a product contact area (when products are present).
  • Alert his manager when there is deviation from food safety policies and standards.


Required Qualification:


  • Trade School level of Electrical or Mechanical training preferred.
  • Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred.
  • Agri-food industry technology and processes, sound maintenance practice, quality, food safety, and health and safety.
  • Electrical and mechanical repair on production and utility equipment.
